RFP: Flash Microsite Conversion and Redevelopment
On behalf of our client, Rapid Catalyst is seeking bids from qualified individuals and agencies for an upcoming project. Those that are interested in receiving the latest copy of the RFP package are invited to fill out the RFP request form at the bottom of this page.
About the Client and Project:
The [CLIENT] is a non-profit foundation located in Boston, MA that provides support for a historical museum and library in the area. The Library, along with the [CLIENT], own and operate a number of Internet properties, applications, and microsites. Over the past 10+ years, some of these properties have been built on Flash, however, as Internet technology has evolved and support for Flash has dwindled, so too has traffic and usage of the Flash-based applications.
Objectives:
To stimulate usage and foster engagement, the [CLIENT] would like to replace one of the microsites with a modern equivalent and are seeking proposals from vendors to build a microsite that:
A) is built on the latest technology;
B) is compatible with modern mobile devices;
C) stays true to the original mission and intent of the microsite;
D) is comparable in scope, scale, and interactivity as the current site.
Microsite Description:
The [Microsite] contains seven different interactive modules featuring a variety of topics related to [core themes of the library]. The module’s primary interface is based on an archival image of a desk. 6 highlighted objects on the desk – including a diary, telephone, secret taping button, a nautical artifact, a picture frame, and a coconut husk paperweight open to reveal additional unique, interactive experiences.
